Happy 10th Anniversary to the best husband in the world! I am so glad you asked me to dance 11 years ago! Thank you for putting up with me and my nervousness, intensity, and reading at all hours of the night. I love your great sense of humor, your hyper-activity, and your dead-sexy good looks! These past 10 years have been the best of my life, and I look forward to spending eternity with you.

Rocks
Today Jayce and I were hitting up a few yard sales, and we ran across a rock and crystal sale. We stopped by to check it out and just look at the pretty crystals. The two guys that collect the rocks (father and son) were so nice to Jayce, because she told them she collects rocks. They showed her all of the coolest rocks and taught her about them. They kept giving her free rocks. We were there for an hour, and Jayce had such a great time. She wants to go back next Saturday with her friend. They had some pretty amazing huge crystals and other rare rocks.
These are some of the free rocks that Jayce got. They gave her amethyst, geodes, petrified wood, tigers eye, amazonite, smoky quartz, dumortierite, youngite, galena, chalcopyrite, mica, and epidote. They told us where to look for cool rocks too.
They were trying to sell their collection because the dad is really sick and they need the money, so we went back and Jayce bought a few with her chore money.
She got this rock that is covered with peridot crystals.
She also bought this crystal geode.
Of all the cool rocks, I think she was most excited when they gave her an antler.
She is really excited that she now has a really cool start to her rock collection, other than just sparkly rocks from our yard.
We got Claire off of baba's a few months ago, but now she's addicted to sippy cups.
She gets that look in her eyes that she used to get from baba's. Every time we wean her from something she has addiction transfer (I learned that from Intervention!)
I swear we don't abuse this child. She has a new bruise or scratch every day. We really need to get grass in our backyard!

Another project
I got three of these canisters at a yard sale with the breadbox from my previous post for $0.50.
I sanded them and painted them to match the breadbox.
I just need to find something cute to put in them.
I'm trying to convince Blake to let me refinish our kitchen table. I think he's afraid I'll ruin it. I told him it will keep me busy and away from the mall!

Random pictures
Claire loves to take all of the dish rags out of the drawer and snuggle in them.
We are still having to force Jayce to wear her glasses.
I got this vintage breadbox at a yard sale for $0.50. I thought it was really cool and would be fun to refinish.
I sanded it and painted it ivory.
It looked kind of funny, so I sanded the edges, antiqued it, and sealed it.
When Claire can get away with it, she steals Jayce's DS and hides under the computer desk while she plays with it.
This is what happens when somebody with zero sense of direction walks around the house when it's pitch dark.
I walked into my curio cabinet and knocked a Lladro down. One time when I was walking to my room in the dark, I opened the door and thought I was stepping into my room, but it was the door to the stairs. I fell down about 6 stairs before I caught myself. You'd think I would learn.

Swim Lessons
Jayce started swim lessons for the first time this summer. She loves it, and is not afraid of the water at all.
She has been so excited all week to jump off the diving board in the 11 feet deep water!
Poor little Jayce got the flu so bad this week. She threw up 10 times in one day. Luckily, it was just a 24 hour bug. Claire got sick too, though you can't really tell from this picture. Jayce looks pale under that tan of hers.
I got the flu the next day, and I fainted twice while getting up to get a blanket. I woke up to Blake yelling in my face that he was calling 911. He is such a sweetie, and he took such good care of me. Today he has the flu! At least we all got it over with.

Glasses
A couple weeks ago we got a letter from Jayce's school saying that she failed her vision screening. Jayce was so upset and kept saying that she was just nervous, and that she sees just fine. We took her to the eye doctor, and it turned out she needed glasses. Her prescription is pretty mild, but she also has astigmatism. Her doctor said she can start getting used to the glasses this summer, but during the school year they should be permanent. It has been really hard to get her to wear them at all!
She chose these glasses herself, and I think she did a great job! She is so cute in them!
She is really worried that they will mess up her sports, but her uncle Seth ensured her that he was just fine with his glasses.
Visit to Utah
This Memorial Day weekend Kevin flew us to Utah for my mom's 50th birthday. It was a total surprise for her.
Brooks slept over at Coley's house while my mom and Kevin were at their cabin. She thought she was going to Coley's to pick Brooks up, but we had a little surprise party for her. Ryan, Emily, and their family were there from Washington as well. She had all of her kids and grandkids together. It was a lot of fun.
We had another party at Kevin and my mom's house that night and we all slept over.
Happy Birthday Mom! I love you so much!
While we were in town we got to spend time with Blake's family too. We had a really fun Sirrine/ Yakiwchuk party at Uncle John's house. We played basketball, jumped on the trampoline, the kids rode the horses, and we had a barbecue.
Best friends forever
I think Claire looks so much like her great-grandma Sirrine. She has her eyes, nose, and skin.
We celebrated Blake's 30th birthday every chance we had. He got sang to quite a few times!
The waiter liked Papa Don so much that he got to wear the sombrero too.
He just gets more and more handsome with age.
Farewell lunch at Chili's
