Claire's Hair

My little Claire is growing up too fast!

 I can actually style her hair now!  It's so much fun for me, because her big sister acts like a stinker about getting her hair done.  Claire loves it, and especially loves admiring herself in the mirror when I'm done.

I just turned 30 a couple days ago.  We celebrated by going to Red Lobster, then eating ice cream with magic shell (my weakness!). Blake was really sweet and wouldn't let me do anything all day.  It was kind of nice to be out here in the middle of nowhere so I could just not tell anybody it was my birthday and not be embarrassed at work or have any well-meaning sister of mine try to throw me a party.  ;)

Thanks for all the phone-calls, cards, texts, and Facebook messages!  Love you all!

Jayce Timeline

Jayce had to do a school assignment where she finds a penny for each year she's been alive and glues them on a strip of paper, making a timeline of her life.  She has to include pictures and descriptions of an important event from each year of her life.  I thought it was a really cool idea, so I wanted to put the pictures on here.  


2003- I was born on March 19th on the day the U.S. went to war with Iraq.

2004- My best friend Jax was born.  He is my cousin.

2005- I moved to Orem, Utah when I was 2.

2006- I went to Disney World and Miami with my family.

2007- I visited Canada where the Yakiwchuk family emigrated from the Ukraine.

2008- I was always doing flips off furniture, so my mom signed me up for gymnastics.

2009- My baby sister was born on October 3rd.

2010- I went to Washington to visit my cousins.

2011- I moved to Colorado because my dad got a new job in Pueblo.

2012- I am on the Eagles gymnastics team.

Christmas

Jayce got a rock tumbler for Christmas from Grandma G and Papa K.  She is tumbling her first batch and we'ere excited to see how they turn out.  Each process takes a week and there are three processes, so it will still be a while.

This was the year of princesses for Claire.  She's figured out how to strip them, so she mostly takes off their clothes and has me put them back on.

Blake got me a Kindle Fire, but I think he mostly got it for himself...

I taught Jayce how to crochet, but she still just does the first row.

Jayce made these "blue sky" jello dessserts for our Christmas dinner.

Claire loves playing with her doll house.  She talks in a really high-pitched voice for her dolls and it is so cute!
